School Choice Indiana Organizations
School Choice Indiana is a coalition of many groups who support greater educational choices in Indiana. Those supporters include the following:
Alliance for School Choice
Alliance for School Choice helps promote educational choice throughout the United States. It works to begin new programs while also expanding on existing programs to make them more efficient and to serve a greater number of students and parents.

Educational CHOICE Charitable Trust
Educational CHOICE Charitable Trust is considered America’s first privately funded school choice program. Founded in 1991, CHOICE helps low income students attend the nonpublic school of their choice by providing scholarships for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
The families must meet the same qualifications as the federal free lunch program in order to receive a scholarship and must submit an application for consideration. CHOICE provides one half of the tuition, up to $1600. The number of scholarships is determined by the amount contributed by private donors.

GEO Foundation
The Greater Educational Opportunities Foundation (GEO) strives to provide students and parents with educational options through several services. GEO’s main services include the Charter School Service Center (CSSC), Parent Information and Resource Center (PIRC), and 21st Century Charter Schools. GEO also provides free tutoring. Through its programs, GEO provides a strong community outreach to help parents realize they have a choice in their child’s education.

Indiana Catholic Conference
The Indiana Catholic Conference speaks for the five Roman Catholic Dioceses in Indiana. There are about 200 Catholic schools in Indiana. Regarding school choice, the ICC represents the interests of its Catholic schools. ICC works to ensure the public policy interests of the Dioceses are represented. The five Dioceses in Indiana have issued a statement in support of educational choice, found here.

Indiana Chamber of Commerce
The Indiana Chamber of Commerce represents the business community within Indiana. It acts in the interest of and on behalf of its members throughout the state. The Chamber works on many public policy fronts, one of those being education reform, with a focus on educational choice.

Indiana Non Public Education Association
The Indiana Non Public Education Association represents the non public schools in the state of Indiana. The association plays a part in shaping public policy affecting Indiana’s nonpublic schools. INPEA represents 421 member schools with over 96,000 students. Member schools of INPEA include the Association of Christian Schools International, Christian Schools International, Indiana Association of Independent Schools, Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, Lutheran Association of Elementary Education, Conference Seventh Day Adventist, Archdiocese of Indianapolis, Diocese of Fort Wayne, Diocese of Gary, and eleven non-affiliated schools.
While INPEA represents 421 non-public schools in Indiana, there are actually more than 800 non-publics in Indiana. Fifty-eight percent of Indiana counties have no or limited non-public schools. Fifteen have none. Thirty-eight counties have between one and four schools. Marion, Allen, St. Joseph, Lake, Vanderburgh, and Elkhart counties are home to 40% of the non-public schools in Indiana.

Milton and Rose D. Friedman Foundation
The Milton and Rose D. Friedman Foundation, located in Indianapolis, works in states throughout the country to promote educational choice for families. The Friedman Foundation is based on the ideals and principles of the late economist Milton and Rose D. Friedman. In 1976, Milton was awarded the Nobel Prize for Economic Science based on his ideas for school choice.
